MEET LOCKLEAZE’S CHURCH OF HATE

SoL

More bad news for Lockleaze as the Spirit of Life Church has bought the Unity Chapel on Romney Avenue. Among the many things this disreputable shower have to say is:

“We teach that homosexuality, in particular, is subject to God’s wrath of abandonment, is a matter of choice and not inherited status, and epitomizes man’s ungrateful against God.”

And:

“Any attempt to change one’s sex or disagreement with one’s biological sex, is sinful and offensive to God.”

On the positive side, efforts by this church to ingratiate themselves in the local community on the local  ‘Love Lockleaze’ Facebook page have been firmly rebuffed by members of the community who have told them, in no uncertain terms, they are not welcome.

The Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust (LNT), which is funded by Bristol City Council and the Arts council among others, however, seemed far more relaxed about a group of nutty far-right Christians setting up in the area.

At first two community workers at their hub even welcomed the church to the area on Facebook. However one agreed to remove her welcome post from the Love Lockleaze page after pressure from residents while Maria Perrett, the ‘Community Activator’ for LNT, has refused to do so.

Meanwhile, Lockleaze’s two brand new Green councillors, Heather Mack and David Wilcox have gone missing in action. Odd, as just last week, the local Green Party was virtue signalling from the pages of Bristol 24/7 about having signed a trendy on-message ‘trans support pledge’.

Do trans support pledges not count in Lockleaze?

One of the recent squats in the High St. opposite Castle Park is owned by the BCC.
It is the rear enterance to the Rummer pub and has been empty for some time.
Maybe we should thank these squatters for bringing into focus how our council works – or rather doesn’t.
Outrageously we aren’t talking about one year or even two. Nor for five years even. It has infact been standing empty for 10 years! Council owned property not being utilised for a decade must be verging on criminal.

Who has allowed this to happen ? Someone is abusing their position within the council.

When Avon and Somerset cops paid for hired thugs from Thames Valley Plod to evict these kind and considerate squatters what happened ?

Not only had a HUGH amount of money and resources been spent to evict people from empty buildings but they aimed to shut down a very popular and informative radical bookshop.

However, at 6.30 am the vast number of police and baliffs climbed over roofs and kicked down the doors of 4 properies. 3 were empty …

    The fourth property was different.
People lept from their beds with barely the time to pull a pair of jeans on.

Yet again – in under 3 months Avon & Somerset demonstrated to the world what bullies the really are.

As I have already reported three of the four targeted premesis were entirely empty.
    And the fourth ?
Once a perfectly good front door smashed open by plod thugs who only then discovered the flats were legally occupied by students!

Were they printing radical zines and flyers ready for distribution to alert the public to the abuse of excessive police powers ?
No, far more worringly, they were SLEEPING !!

Now I can see why such heavy handed tactics were necessary – these students may of dared to be dreaming. Thoughts of a better, caring and more tolerant Briz cannot be permitted.

Are we, the people of Bristol, to expect an apology from the brand new Chief Constable for Avon & Somerset and Police & Crime Commissioner ?

My money is on a pay out to the maltreated students and it all hushed up…
