You guys should get your facts straight before writing these articles. Avonvale Rd Children and Young People’s Services are having to relocate because the building is desperately needed as a primary school for local children – there aren’t enough school places in the area. It is not where the ‘East Social Work Team’ is based, whatever you think that is. The East Duty/Community Teams are based at Welsman in St Paul’s. The majority of Avonvale Rd is where the Family Placement/Adoption and Children in Care/After Care Teams are based – and the very very few young people who may need to collect food parcels could actually be living anywhere in the city anyway. A lot of social workers would deliver a food parcel by car if it was not possible for someone to collect themselves. Making stuff up doesn’t give you much credibility.

We’ve checked with our sources – the story is accurate.

We made no claim to the specific name of the team engaging in what any lay person would be forgiven for calling ‘social work’ in an area of Bristol generally known as the east.

Our sources confirm that there are more than just a (in your words here) “very, very few young people” who collect food parcels from Avonvale Road.

No, we don’t delete comments apart from irrelevant spam or anything which is completely without merit hate speech type stuff.

Initial comments from a name/email combo are held in a queue to be approved; after that your comments should be published automatically. If you’d stuck with your original name/email your comment would have gone up straight away.
